Announcement from NSA-Minnesota Chapter
Minneapolis, Minn. - April 25, 2007 - The Minnesota Chapter
of The National Speakers Association (NSA-MN), the leading organization for
professional speakers, is recognizing Danita Bye as an outstanding Director of
Business Relations. Bye is currently serving as the Director of Business
Relations for NSA-MN. She will be handing off the torch in July 2007 and is
truly setting pace for the next NSA-MN Director of Business Relations. In this
position for only one year, Bye has implemented and assists on multiple internal
and external fronts. Internally, she focuses on NSA-MN's monthly e-newsletter,
Minnesota Speaks. Externally, the goal is to spread the great assets that
NSA-MN has to offer locally and nationally through publications and
sponsorships. Bye considers herself a sales force development specialist, as
noted by the name of her company: Sales Growth Specialists. The focus of her
speaking engagements is helping chief executive officers, presidents and vice
presidents of sales re-engineer their sales team in order to grow revenues. She
has carved a track record in building and inspiring intentional, no excuse,
high-performance sales teams that achieve bottom-line results. She has been
speaking for seven years as part of her current business model and feels "it's a
great marketing tool." Throughout her speaking career and involvement with
NSA-MN, she says, "I've learned how to be more intentional and strategic about
speaking." Bye explains, "One of the most beneficial lessons I've learned is the
importance of listening. Great speakers are great because they've learned
how to really listen....listen to the needs of both the company
leadership in order to accomplish their strategic objectives AND listen to their
audience so that they walk away with an implementable idea." Danita is also
pursuing her master's degree in Transformational Leadership from Bethel
University and serves on the Board of Directors for City Sites Urban Media. She
is a guest speaker for the St. Thomas Fast Trac Entrepreneurial Program as well
as the Carlson School of Management's Entrepreneurial Club. In 2005, the Twin
Business Business Journal named Bye in the Top 25 of Women to Watch. She has
authored articles in Upsize Magazine, The Business Journal, The Hearing
Review and the Star Tribune. Bye's new book, Sales Management in
the No Excuse Zone, is due for release in mid 2007. On a personal note, Danita has been married for 23 years and has
three fantastic children. When asked who inspires her, she replied, "My parents.
They are incredible entrepreneurs and were able to create success again
impossible odds." ### About National Speakers Association-Minnesota Chapter (NSA-MN)
